Players stutter when running forward (off the ball). Graphically still awful (and yes, graphics do matter - it's 2022 - theres no excuse for poor looking games anymore). There are player switching issues on manual, the game doesn't recognise who the pass is for, constantly changes into a player nowhere near the ball, whilst the one you passed to just stands still and you lose the ball as a result (this happens a lot by the way). There is no button to instruct your teammate to make a run, so they just stand and watch you run towards and past them.

Manual controls are woeful - they aren't even manual, every pass and shot is a laser guided missile. It's harder than before and the option to shoulder an opponent before making a tackle is nice. Let's not pretend a 4/10 game is a good thing. Its basically gone from a 1/10 to a 4/10. The first release was so bad people are fooled into thinking this version is good. It's funny that people are praising this game now.

If they can bring back the old Menu styles, and give us the whole paid game, then I believe it will be an overall better game than the previous one.įeel free to add more pros/cons you noticed. Also, preciously you could see everything in a single frame your team, opponent's team, your subs.

It's like they switched from Android to iOS. Up until PES 21 we had a lot of freedom managing our team tactics, but now it's all confined to limited, pre-set options that we can choose from. The Menu, especially, team management & tactics.

All this time waiting, and they still couldn't release a full game. With v1.0, they added dream team, but no other modes are available. In PES 21, I was guaranteed to have atleast 3 offside calls a game. They've improved the graphics, Im sure it ll keep getting better.īetter refs, oh and more importantly, far less offside calls. I think they added new animations, but the GK seems to be better in terms of positioning, reflexes and chasing down. GK : I don't know how but goalkeepers seems better in this game. Now, it's easier to play against players who can attack, but harder to play against people who can actually defend. Just holding the press button like before won't be enough. You can still hold press button to follow the opponent, but since the gameplay is more free now, the opponent has a lot of leverage in movement, so you need to be a step ahead, anticipate the moves and defend accordingly.

I enjoy dribbling & find myself dribbling a lot lot more than I did in PES 21, where I was playing ping pong passes/ guarding more than dribbling.ĭefending : Defending is now a lot more challenging. Like I said before, you have a lot more freedom of movement with nice animations, and dribbling now is based on your skill & thought than the player's.
